There is nothing more that annoys me than Spammers!

The introduction of the Can-Spam act was supposed to have teeth and actively penalise those that spammed.

However this act has many flaws not the least of which is the fact that spammers don’t play by the rules nor do they care about the mess they create.

Whilst we have all been hit by the standard email spam they have since moved on to Blog comments spam, Posting spam on forums and more recently they have been using Forum Private Message services to spam members…

It seems to me that any protection we are meant to have clearly does not work and going forward this practise continues to be supported by hosting companies that lack a conscience as they do have the power to stop at least some of this occurring, this of course will not contain those determined spammers who will seek out new hosts and or alternatively run their own servers.

The frustration that I feel I am sure is shared by many…but what can we do?
