Internet “Service” Providers
I’m sure we can all recount an interesting experience relating to our Internet Service Providers and I guess may latest experience may be of no surprise.
I recently contacted my ISP to discuss a “Service” issue, now this issue was relatively major and it was having a negative effect in regards to online activities.
My ISP representative listened intently to my explanation of the problem and then politely said: “We are very busy right now Sir, but I will endeavour to get one of our Engineers to review the situation over the next four or five days”
My reaction was to be as expected…I am not sure that it’s ”Service” you are offering here!
I followed with the comment, So it will be alright if I delay my next payment to you by four or five days?
The prompt response from the representative was: “Oh no Sir, If your payment is not received on time we will disable our service until payment is made”
Thanks…So when will you be providing me with some ‘Service” then?
A long pause and then came back the response…I will get an engineer onto the problem right away!
Two hours later all was resolved!!!
